What makes us special

At StoryCraft Studio, storytelling isn’t limited to writing—it’s a full creative experience. Children explore their ideas through writing, visual art, music, and movement, allowing them to connect with storytelling in ways that feel natural and exciting. Our workshops are hands-on and designed to meet children where they are, giving every child a chance to succeed and feel confident. As a certified teaching artist, I use arts integration and whole-child learning to ensure students are not only creating, but also building confidence, communication skills, and creative expression. What truly sets StoryCraft Studio apart is that children don’t just participate—they take ownership of their ideas and leave seeing themselves as storytellers.

Programs for every young storyteller

StoryCraft Studio offers programs for children ages 6–14, with experiences designed to meet students at different developmental stages. We cater to creative thinkers, visual learners, and children who thrive with multiple ways to express themselves.

Ages 6-8: spark imagination

Younger children benefit from imaginative, hands-on storytelling that focuses on drawing, play, and simple story creation. At this stage, the goal is to build confidence and spark creativity through engaging activities.

Ages 9-11: structured stories

Children in this age group begin to explore more structured storytelling, developing characters, story elements, and combining writing with visual art and sound to deepen their ideas and narratives.

Ages 12-14: refine & perform

Older students benefit from more advanced creative expression, including detailed writing, storytelling techniques, and performance, allowing them to refine their voice and build confidence in sharing their work with others.

Creative projects & memorable experiences

In StoryCraft Studio, children create and take home their own original illustrated storybook, filled with characters, settings, and stories they’ve imagined themselves. Along the way, they design story maps, create detailed artwork, and build simple soundtracks using rhythm and sound to bring their stories to life. They also have opportunities to explore movement and performance, acting out scenes from their stories in fun and creative ways. One of the most exciting parts of the program is our Story Celebration Showcase, where children share their stories through reading, performance, or sound. It’s a memorable experience that allows them to feel proud of their work and confident in their creativity.
